Refund policy

Made-to-Order, Made With Care

At Probably Aliens, every product is custom-printed after your order is placed. Because each item is made specifically for you, we are unable to accept returns or refunds for buyer’s remorse, wrong size selection, wrong color selection, or change-of-mind.

However, we stand behind the quality of every product we produce. If your order arrives defective, damaged, incorrect, or lost in transit, we will make it right.

We Will Replace or Refund If:

You may be eligible for a replacement or refund if:

  • You received the wrong item, size, design, or garment brand
  • The print is defective, including blurry, peeling, mis-scaled, or off-center printing
  • The print color differs noticeably from the product mockup
  • The garment is damaged, torn, stained, or defective upon arrival
  • There are embroidery defects
  • There is a visible white underbase on the print edges
  • The actual size differs from our published size chart by more than 3 cm
  • Your order is lost in transit, with no tracking update for 30+ days
  • An out-of-stock item was shipped without prior notification

Depending on the issue, we may offer a replacement, full refund, or partial refund for the affected item.

We Cannot Replace or Refund If:

We are unable to offer a replacement or refund if:

  • You selected the wrong size, color, or design at checkout
  • You provided an incorrect or incomplete shipping address
  • You changed your mind after placing the order
  • There is minor color variation between the mockup and printed item, which is normal for digital printing
  • The damage occurred after delivery
  • The package was refused or not picked up
  • The claim is submitted more than 14 days after delivery
  • The delay is caused by customs, weather, carrier disruptions, or other force majeure events
  • The item was returned without authorization
  • The item was damaged due to customer handling

Filing Deadlines

To help us resolve your issue quickly, please contact us within the following timeframes:

  • Misprinted, defective, or wrong items: within 7 days of delivery
  • Damaged packages: within 72 hours of delivery
  • Lost in transit: within 30 days of the last tracking update
  • All other eligible claims: within 14 days of delivery

Claims submitted after the applicable deadline may not be eligible for replacement or refund.

How to File a Claim

Please email us at support@probablyaliens.com with the following information:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photos or videos of the issue in good lighting
  • A photo of the shipping label
  • A short description of the problem
  • Proof of measurement, only for sizing claims

Our team will review your claim and respond within 1–2 business days.

Please do not return any items to us without prior authorization. Unauthorized returns will not be processed.

Refund Eligibility

Refunds are issued only for orders that meet the conditions outlined in this policy. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method used at checkout.

How Refunds Work

  • Approved refunds: issued within 5–10 business days after approval
  • Bank processing time: your bank or payment provider may take an additional 3–7 business days to display the funds
  • Partial refunds: in some cases, such as one defective item in a multi-item order, we may issue a partial refund covering only the affected item

Order Cancellations

Because our products are made to order, cancellation availability depends on whether production has started.

  • Within 24 hours of purchase, before production starts: full refund
  • After production starts: shipping fee refund only, because the printed item has already been produced for you
  • After shipment: cancellation is not possible

To request a cancellation, please contact us as soon as possible at support@probablyaliens.com with your order number.

Non-Refundable Items & Situations

The following items and situations are not eligible for refund:

  • Customized or personalized items, unless defective
  • Made-to-order products cancelled after production has started
  • Items returned without authorization
  • Items returned damaged due to customer handling
  • Shipping fees for customer-fault issues, including wrong address, refused delivery, or unclaimed packages
  • Change-of-mind returns
  • Wrong size, color, or design selected by the customer

Late or Missing Refunds

If your refund has been approved but you have not received it after 10 business days, please first check with your bank or payment provider, as processing delays may occur.

EU Customers

Under Article 16(c) and 16(e) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU, the right of withdrawal does not apply to personalized or made-to-order goods.

Because Probably Aliens products are custom-printed after purchase, refunds for change-of-mind are not available. However, defective, damaged, incorrect, or faulty items remain eligible for refund or replacement under applicable consumer protection laws.
